David Attenborough’s ‘Planet Earth: Blue Planet II’ Looks Absolutely Incredible [Video]

Story from: 2oceansvibe.com

For real, friends – this looks like it’s going to be an epic.

When Sir David Attenborough and the BBC team up they usually produce magic, and our first look at Planet Earth: Blue Planet II shows we are most certainly in for another treat.

It’s been 16 years since David first guided us around the ocean’s depths in Blue Planet, so it’s about time they dished out a sequel.

Feast your eyes on this, and see if you can identify that song while you’re at it:

I’m shook. Let’s see if you’re right about that song via the Independent:

The broadcaster has just released a five-minute prequel film, soundtracked by esteemed composer Hans Zimmer and Glastonbury headliners Radiohead.

Together, they have reworked the track ‘Bloom’ from Radiohead’s 2011 album The King of Limbs, re-recording the composition with an orchestra and featuring new vocals.

“Bloom was inspired by the original Blue Planet series so it’s great to be able to come full circle with the song and reimagine it for this incredible landmark’s sequel,” singer Thom Yorke said earlier this month.

You’re not messing about when you land Radiohead and Hans.

The BBC are promising big things:

The prequel features an array of some of the most awe-inspiring shots and highlights from the new series, as well as several exclusive scenes that will not feature in any of the seven episodes which are set for UK broadcast on BBC One later this year.

Can they produce a sequence that rivals the snake versus iguana battle from Planet Earth II? I guess only time will tell.
