That Zuma Painting Is Quite Tame – Wait Until You See Ayanda Mabulu’s Other Zuma Artwork [Video]

Story from: 2oceansvibe.com

Yesterday much of the discussion around the country centred on Jacob Zuma and THAT painting, where he was becoming well acquainted with Atul Gupta’s rear end.

It once again brought the works of Ayanda Mabulu into the public eye, and whilst some of his paintings have been splashed across news sites others haven’t really been gobbled up by the public.

First up let’s just see how Ayanda really feels about JZ, with this video from TimesLive:

Boom, not mixing his words. That hate has manifested itself in a number of paintings over the years, so let’s take a run at some of those that poke fun at our president.

That one above is from 2010, titled Ngcono ihlwempu kunesibhanxo sesityebi (“Better poor than a rich puppet”), and Zuma is just one of a number of leaders scornfully depicted.

Then this:

Mail & Guardian below:

…Ayanda Mabulu’s painting Yakhal’inkomo – Black Man’s Cry has been removed from the exhibition space at the FNB Jo’burg Art Fair 2013. Based on the 2012 Marikana massacre, the art work depicts President Jacob Zuma holding a dog that appears to be attacking a man beneath the ANC insignia. Also depicted in the art piece is Economic Freedom Fighters’ president Julius Malema, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and other political figures watching the event.

But wait, because this one is really out there. Even Archbishop Desmond Tutu gets a look in, holding his man bits in the background:

Yoh, not packing any punches.

You may well be familiar with this one, which did do the rounds a while back, but we’ll remind you anyway:

The woman there is said to represent our country’s democracy, and according to the artist is ‘being molested in many ways and raped continuously’.

We’ll end with Ayanda getting dangerously close to JZ’s penis, posing in front of his painting titled Umshini Wam:

If his drawings are to scale, maybe that alleged blesser isn’t just after his money.
