SAPS in action

Story from: The Announcer

SAPS

On Monday, the SAPS in Alexandria, the local Community Policing Forum structure and the Department of Social Development held an educational movie day for the children of Wentzel’s Park.

The program was part of a school holiday program and aimed at keeping the children off the street. The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and looking forward to the next movie day!

The program will also be rolled out at other areas in Alexandria.

And in Grahamstown, members of the Highway Patrol were conducting a vehicle check point on the N2.

The members stopped a long distance bus and conducted a search operation.

They searched a male with a backpack and found dagga wrapped in Glad wrap valued at over R6000.

The 45-year-old suspect faces a charge of possession of dagga.

He will appear in the Grahamstown Magistrate’s Court later this week.
