Say Hello To Summer With A Little Bit Of Hawaii In Your Life

Story from: 2oceansvibe.com

A luau is known to be the ultimate “feelgood” celebration, and if you have ever been to Hawaii you most definitely know what I am talking about.

Seen in the movies, complete with hula dancers, flower necklaces (leis) and tiki torches, a Hawaiian holiday wouldn’t be complete without attending one of their traditional parties.

Pronounced “lou-ow”, the celebration was initiated back in 1819 when King Kamehameha II removed all religious laws, one being that men and woman had to eat their meals separately, and another that women and the rest of society were not allowed to eat foods that weren’t common.

Performing a symbolic act, he ate with the women and thus ended Hawaiian religious taboos.

To say goodbye to winter and hello gorgeous to the summer that is about to arrive, Cafe Caprice will be serving up a whole lot of tasty Hawaiian-style food and drinks at their final brunch of 2017, hosted on October 21 and fittingly called Last Luau:

A little different from their previous brunches, tickets cost R250 per person and include a two-course meal, as well as a complimentary cocktail.

Here are some further details:

Date: October 21 2017
Time: 12:30 ONWARDS
Tickets: R250 (included 2 course meal and complimentary cocktail)
