Hooters Had An Airline Once – You Can Imagine The Cabin Crew Uniform

It was the year 2003.

Headquartered at Myrtle Beach and operated by Pace Airlines, Robert Brooks, the owner of Hooters of America, ignored what it means to be PC and announced the beginning of Hooters Air.

The airline, which only lasted three years, flew to as many as 17 cities during its heyday, including spots like the Bahamas and Las Vegas.

Flying with the crew was a selection of scantily-clad waitresses, serving the joint’s famous buffalo wings as well as beer to passengers.

However, the airline suspended its services in 2006 due to rising fuel costs:

“The flying industry is in a terrible mess,” Brooks said. “I’ve got a fair amount of money, but I don’t have enough to fix this animal.”
