What is unique about your restaurant? Tell us a bit about the concept…
At HQ Restaurant we have a saying, “You can have whatever you want, as long as it is salad, steak and chips.” HQ is loosely based around the concept of Le Entrecote. We adapted their single set menu concept of a Salad, Steak & Chips. The waitron will welcome you, and upon being refreshed by one of our many options from our Beer, Cocktail & Wine list, will continue to explain: “Your journey this evening will start with a simple, yet delicious salad of crispy cos and iceberg lettuce dressed with HQ’s famous Dijon mustard vinaigrette, topped toasted pine nuts and shavings of parmesan cheese. This will be followed by either a 250g or 500g (Served in two intervals of 250g each – to ensure the entirety of the steak is enjoyed straight from the grill) top cut, 32-day-matured sirloin steak, accompanied with Skinny Frites and Café de Paris butter sauce”. The experience is then heightened by the waitron writing your preferred steak temperature on the brown mancini paper on the table.
We have very recently added an imported steak option, this is served exactly the same as our standard menu offering, but rather than our steak plates, we serve this imported speciality steak (origin will vary) on a wooden steak board.

What can we look forward to on your menu for Restaurant Week?
HQ has been around for close on nine years, and other than the addition of the imported steak option, our menu stays the same. Restaurant Week guests will enjoy a 3 course meal (including a glass of either red or white wine) for the same price as our standard two course offering. Desserts can be ordered from our a la carte dessert menu.
